This is probably one of my favorite sessions from last year. NOT just because they are an absolutely gorgeous and well dressed family but because we caught so many special memories. Oh and we had a ton of FUN!
Their mom is a former photographer who appreciates portraiture and is often the one behind the camera. I was thrilled that she asked me to be her story teller.
We couldn’t have asked for better weather or light as you can see. Read more ›
It’s been a joy working with these kiddos since they were just three years old! I’ve grown to know and love their sweet hearts and pretty faces. This most recent session I found out they would be moving out of state which broke my heart…. until mom said “Oh don’t worry, we’ll come back every summer and have you photograph them again”! Whoop whoop!
One thing about their mom that I truly love is that she gets my style and tends to love the “soulful” portraits the most. So, I work extra hard to really capture “who” they are instead of what they look like. This can be really hard with tweens.
I know they will both have soaring futures no matter where they go. You can’t help but love them! Read more ›
If you’ve been following my work at all over the years, surely you recognize this clan. Here, here, here and here are just some of their recent sessions. We probably had the coldest day of the year (at that time) and I say that because my fingers could no longer press the shutter or dials of my camera. BUT we made it work by golly…. in 20 quick minutes not including a hot chocolate break! The kids were so pumped with adrenaline for our session that it didn’t really matter if Kirsten was sitting on ICE. They knew that their session was a time set apart for jokes, laughter, dancing and potty mouth talk. I can not believe that I just admitted that! Read more ›
I met this family this year when our sons become close friends. I already knew her husband John as he was my awesome accountant but had yet to meet the rest of the family. I am asked all the time about an accountant referral so here you go…. John Schaaf CPA for all you locals. He was just named a 2013 Angie’s Lisa Super Service Award recipient. www.schaafcpa.com. It was so fun to see Miss “H” again and her parents. She’s getting more beautiful each time I see her and I’m not sure how that is possible. We have one more session together in August to celebrate her big one year milestone. Best part of my job is watching these little ones grow up!

I really meant to post this session about 6 months ago But that’s how I roll these days. This is one of my very best friends and her family. I had SO much fun at our session last November. There are no words to describe how ridiculous we ALL were together (especially me) but in the end it sure was fun to act 12 years old again.
These were taken on the lovely streets and alleys of downtown Greenfield. Read more ›
I am going into the archives a bit to show off a sweet newborn session. It’s been a few months and I am guessing Frankie’s not so little anymore. He was certainly a sweet little fella that had his own sleeping agenda that morning!

Each year, I try to make cute Valentine’s Day cards for my kiddos. Why? Because I can. I actually have time! Something that I have more of right now than I have in months. I use to despise the winter months for the obvious, but the longer I’ve been in the photography industry the more I am actually enjoying the season. It causes my business to drastically slow down which equals more time to breathe, sleep, eat and be with my family. I love it so much! At times though, I find myself getting antsy because I’m not doing anything else and have to force myself to just be still. So, Valentine’s Day is a pretty special time for us around here just to slow down and enjoy.
It was so fun to come back and see this family since our session last fall. Mia reminds me so much of her big brother when he was her age… although she does have him beat just a bit with her chubbiness. I absolutely love babies with rolls. It’s a good thing because all my own babies were quite full of them!
