The Brittons are some of the cutest and kindest people around. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph them several times over the past few years! This time was my favorite because we hadn’t seen each other in a very long time and we were able to catch up while I photographed them! It also happened to be Will’s 11th birthday so we had to make it enjoyable (aka an ice cream stop).
Urban sessions are so fun…. Lots of color and unexpected backdrops This might be one of my favorite Houske sessions.

I’m asked all the time where my favorite place is to take family photos. The answer has remained the same from the very beginning of my career…. home. If you’ve never had a session at your home, please consider it. Your kids already have so many favorite places and we can turn their memories into art. Is there a neighborhood fort or woods they like to play in? A creek nearby? A park they like visit? It’s certainly worth considering Read more ›

This family shares the same school system as my own however this was the first time had we met. I adored working with them so much. I loved their special connection to one another and unique personalities as you can see in the photos. As a mom of three boys myself, I appreciate the playfulness that boys bring to a family. Most of the time it’s meant for fun and that’s exactly what we had the entire session. And those doggies were icing on the cake! Read more ›
I see no reason to stop having your family photographed once your kids are older. Teenagers are so much fun to work with! They are full of personality and have such connection to one another. I’m so happy when my clients still come back to me when the kids reach the teenage phase. It’s certainly a time of life worth documenting… even if you want to punch them in the face from time to time Read more ›
